Jeffrey Lash

In 1961 the Yugoslav writer Ivo Andrić was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for the novel The Bridge on the Drina.  This bridge in Višegrad, Bosnia is the principle character of the book.  Today the bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
